Difference between precision sheet metal processing and ordinary sheet metal processing

In the sheet metal processing industry, sheet metal processing is a key technology that technicians need to master, and it is also an important process for workpiece forming. But in the production process, we often hear precision sheet metal processing and ordinary sheet metal processing, so what is the difference between the two? Let us take a look together.

1. Sheet metal processing includes traditional cutting, blanking, bending forming and other methods and process parameters, as well as various cold stamping die structures and process parameters, working principles and operation methods of various equipment, and new stamping processes, etc.
2. The range of sheet metal processing is relatively large. All metal-formed products are collectively referred to as sheet metal parts. Sheet metal is divided into ordinary sheet metal and precision sheet metal. Actually, they are the same concept, but there are some internal differences: this is mainly the difference in the process. Ordinary sheet metal processing adopts traditional processing equipment, such as ordinary punching machines, angle-cutting machines, etc. In order to realize the shape of the sheet metal, it is often a batch product processing project, and the accuracy cannot be guaranteed, and some complicated processes are difficult to achieve.

3. The so-called “precision sheet metal processing” refers to the selection of materials, structural design, improvement of processing accuracy, improvement of bearing quality and service life, improvement of lubricating oil quality, etc., which also greatly improves the production level of geared motors. Precision sheet metal is suitable for large and small-batch product processing and has the characteristics of a short processing cycle, high precision and good uniformity. The transition from ordinary sheet metal processing to precision processing requires the following conditions: equipment replacement, technology upgrade, management improvement, etc.
4. Compared with traditional sheet metal processing, precision sheet metal processing has the advantages of high level and high performance. The use of building block combination design is conducive to organizing mass production and reducing costs. The diversification of types and variant designs expands the scope of the use of gear motors. Precision gold deposits are demanding and tight tolerances must be enforced. If it can be assembled out of tolerance, it is unqualified. Its tolerance requirements are also higher than normal.
