It is very possible to renew old metals using a sand-blasting process. Sand-blasting involves forcibly removing paint or other surface contaminants stuck on a metal. The blasting uses small particles of sand sprayed under high pressure against the metal. Metals coated with old paint can have it removed and repainted into the same color or a different one. If you have old metal furniture, consider sending it to a powder coating company to renew it.
